Summary: your store's data belongs to your store. Other stores cannot see your customers, buy prices, profit or stock. Network data will only ever be used as anonymous aggregates, always with a minimum number of stores and transactions.
Data that belongs to the store
Customers, items, buy prices, sell prices, costs, profit, staff and the audit log are the store's data and are used only to provide the service to that store. Valuations are currently calculated from your own store's data only.
What other stores will never see
- Your store name, branches or staff
- Customer details, ID numbers, phone numbers
- Buy prices, costs and profit per unit
- IMEI or serial numbers of the items in your store
Network data (not yet available)
In the future, stores may see province- or region-level benchmark prices. This will open only after legal review, and every one of these conditions must be met:
- Figures are aggregates (such as medians, price ranges and days to sell), not individual units
- There are at least 10 stores and 30 verified transactions in that area and time period
- No single store makes up so large a share of the data that it could be identified
- Asking prices and actual sold prices are always kept separate, with the sample size and update time shown
Data imported from files
Values in imported files are encrypted while they are being validated, and are deleted once the 30-day rollback period ends, leaving only the import results. Imported data is held in the system just like data recorded at the counter.
Access by our team
Our team's back-office system has no screens for viewing a store's customers, stock or transactions. Details in Data security
When you stop using the service
Data is not deleted when a plan expires. The store owner can export all of the store's data as CSV files at any time (menu: Export store data). Export files are kept for 7 days and then deleted automatically. If a store wants to close its account, data that the law requires to be kept is retained for that period and then deleted or anonymized.
