Pawn management

Pawn lending is governed by specific laws (interest, fees, terms, documents and reporting). We will open this module only after every rule has been reviewed by legal experts.

What is already in place

  • Pawn kept separate from buying

    A pawn is not a purchase and not a sale with right of redemption. The system treats them as separate transaction types from the ground up.

  • Legal rules as data, not code

    Rates, fees, documents and reporting are stored as rules by area and effective date, and can be updated when the law changes.

  • Customer identity verification (KYC)

    Records ID cards, verification, consent and document expiry dates. Already available for buying today.

  • Immutable ledger

    Every payment received, payout and renewal is recorded permanently, with an audit log.

In the meantime, pawn shops can make full use of buying and selling, stock and true profit.
