See sales per day (bills, units sold, discounts, refunds and net revenue) alongside the units bought or traded in and the capital spent each day.
- Who can do this:
- Owner, Store Admin, Manager, Supervisor-Approver, Inventory staff, Accountant, Auditor, Viewer (role defaults; the owner can change them)
The Daily sales and Purchases reports sit in the Sales and purchases group. Use them to see how much the store sold each day and how much it spent on units coming in. Both open with View reports.
Daily sales report
Each row is one day, counted from completed sale, trade-in and return documents.
-
Bills: the number of sale and trade-in bills that day.
-
units: the number of units sold.
-
Sales: total selling prices before discounts.
-
Discount: bill discounts for the day.
-
Refunds: money refunded to customers for returns, counted on the day of the return, not the day of the sale.
-
Net revenue: sales revenue after discounts and returns.
-
Fees: card fees the store paid, shown only to people with View cost and profit.
The headline figures show Net revenue, Bills, Units sold and Average per bill, which is sales after discounts divided by the number of bills.
Purchases report
Each row is one day, counting the units bought and traded in on completed documents.
-
units: all units received.
-
Purchase and Trade-in: whether they came from a purchase or a trade-in at a sale.
-
Purchase cost and Average per unit: what you paid or credited the customer, shown only to people with View cost and profit.
Today's figures at a glance
On the Overview page, the Net sales card under Today opens today's daily sales report straight away, if you can view reports.
What you can use them for
-
Closing up each evening: pick Today and compare Net revenue with the money actually received on the Cash/accounts page.
-
Staffing the counter: see which days of the week sell best and roster enough staff for them.
-
Keeping capital in check: compare what you spent on purchases with your sales. If purchases run ahead of sales for several days in a row, more capital gets tied up in stock.
What these two reports leave out
-
Voided documents, whenever they were voided.
-
Opening stock and past sales imported from Excel, because they are data from before you started using the system. Imported past sales appear in the profit report instead.
-
Repairs and other costs added after a unit came in. See True profit report per unit.
