Sensitive tasks such as changing team access, exporting data or large voids ask for your password again, so someone using a device left open cannot do them.
Some tasks affect the store's security or large amounts of data, so the system asks for your password again before continuing, even though you are signed in. If someone picks up a device left open, they can't do these tasks without knowing the password.
Which tasks ask for your password again
-
Changing a staff member's role, status, branches or individual permissions under Team
-
Changing the 2FA requirement or the segregation-of-duties settings under Store settings
-
Voiding a document above the amount the store set, ฿10,000 by default
-
Exporting a report to Excel or CSV
-
Exporting the access review
-
Opening the full store export page and downloading its file
-
Turning 2FA on or off, or making recovery codes, under Security
What it looks like
On most screens a Confirm your password again window opens. Enter Your password and tap Confirm and continue; the task you started continues straight away.
Some tasks, such as exports, open a full Confirm password page instead. Enter your password and tap Confirm, and you are taken back to the task.
How often you have to do it
One confirmation lasts 10 minutes, so several sensitive tasks in a row need it only once. The 2FA settings page keeps its own, longer window.
If your password isn't accepted
-
Use the password you sign in with, not the 6-digit code from the app.
-
After several wrong tries in a row the system makes you wait; the message says how many seconds.
-
If you forgot your password, sign out and set a new one. See Forgot your password: reset it by email.
