On this page
Record second-hand dealer, pawnshop or gold licences for all or one branch, with start and expiry dates. The page shows which are valid, expiring or expired.
- Who can do this:
- Owner, Store Admin (role defaults; the owner can change them)
The Licenses page keeps your shop's business licence numbers with their start and expiry dates, either for all branches or per branch. It shows the status of each licence, and the system uses this data to check the rules that apply to your shop.
Licence types you can record
-
Second-hand goods dealer license
-
Pawnshop license
-
Gold/jewelry dealer license
Pawn and gold features are not open yet, but you can record those licences in advance.
Before you start
You need the Store settings permission. By default it is held by: Owner, Store Admin.
Open Licenses and tap Add license.
Choose the Type and the branch. If the licence covers every branch, choose All branches.
Enter the License number and Issued by.
Enter the Start date and the Expiry date. Leave the expiry empty if the licence doesn't expire.
Tap Save.
Each licence's status
| Label | Means |
|---|---|
| Valid | Within its valid dates |
| Expiring soon | Still valid but close to expiry; start renewing it |
| Expired / not yet valid | Past its expiry date, or not yet started |
After renewing, tap Edit on the licence to change its dates, or add a new one. Every addition, edit and removal is recorded in the audit log.
What the system uses licences for
Legal rules are stored as data in the system. If the rule for a type of transaction requires a licence, the system won't allow that transaction in a branch without a valid licence. So keep this page complete and up to date.
