ML price advice and a public price index are not open yet. Today valuation uses explainable rules on your store's actual sales, shown with a confidence score.
Not available yet
This capability opens only after it passes the required review. This page explains what it is and what you can use in the meantime.
Two things people often ask about are machine-learning (ML) price advice and a public second-hand price index. Neither is open yet.
How the system values devices today
Valuation today uses rules that can be explained step by step, not a black-box model. The system starts from the prices your store actually sold the same model and spec for, adjusts for grade, battery and the age of the data, then deducts the costs and profit your store has set. The result is a price range and Safe Buy, with confidence and the number of data points used. It is decision support, not a price guarantee. Read how it works on Methodology.
What is not open yet
-
ML price advice: opens only when it has been shown on held-back test data that the accuracy and confidence it displays match real outcomes.
-
Public second-hand price index: web pages showing each model's market price to the public. They open after the data quality and method have been reviewed, and only for models with enough data, always showing the number of data points, the update time and the method.
What to do meanwhile
-
Use Safe Buy and the price range from your own store's data. See Reading a valuation: range, confidence, liquidity, risk.
-
Give valuations more data by recording market prices and importing past sales. See Record market, dealer and quoted prices.
