Record listing, dealer or quoted prices on the market prices page, with grade, date seen and source, so the system can value models your shop rarely sells.

Plans:
Available on Starter and up
Who can do this:
Owner, Store Admin, Manager, Appraiser, Inventory staff (role defaults; the owner can change them)

Market prices are prices your staff see outside the shop, such as online listings, dealer offers or prices people ask about. Record them on Market prices so the system has data to value with, especially for models your shop rarely sells. Your shop's own sale and purchase prices are recorded automatically, so don't enter those again.

Three kinds of price

Kind Use it for How the system uses it
Asking price (market) A price listed for sale online or in a group Feeds Expected Sell, with less weight than a real sale
Dealer price A price a dealer offers to buy or sell at Shown as the dealer price in the valuation panel; doesn't feed Expected Sell
Quoted/offered prices A price someone asked about or offered, with no actual trade Feeds the calculation with the least weight
  1. Open Market prices, or tap Record market price in the valuation panel.

  2. Search for the model and choose the spec that matches the device in the listing.

  3. Choose the Price type, then the grade, official/grey import and battery health if you know them.

  4. Enter the Date seen and the Price.

  5. Enter the Source, such as the listing link or the dealer's name, then tap Save price.

Good to know

  • The date seen can't be in the future and can only go back so far; very old prices are no longer useful.

  • Set the grade and battery as close to the listed device as you can. The system adjusts each price to the device being valued.

  • A source is always required, so the price can be checked later.

  • Recorded prices are listed on the same page, newest date seen first. Rows that came from your shop's documents say Store transaction.

If you recorded a price wrongly

Prices can't be deleted. Tap the crossed-out eye icon on that row and give a reason, such as "wrong price" or "fake listing". The price is kept for the record but no longer used in calculations; the row fades and shows Excluded from calculations. This only works for prices staff entered. Prices from your shop's documents follow those documents: if a sale is voided, its price stops counting.

Frequently asked questions

Can I delete a price I recorded by mistake?

No, but you can exclude it from calculations with a reason. The price is kept for the record and no longer used for valuations.
