Choose 80 mm on the document page before printing, then pick the receipt printer, 80 mm paper, no margins and actual size in the print dialog.
- Who can do this:
- Owner, Store Admin, Manager, Supervisor-Approver, Cashier, Appraiser, Accountant, Auditor, Viewer (role defaults; the owner can change them)
Receipts, purchase vouchers and other documents print from the document page in two sizes, A4 and 80 mm. Printing goes through the browser's print dialog; there is no separate print program, so the settings in that dialog matter most. For normal printing steps see Print an A4 or 80 mm receipt, and reprint.
It still prints at A4
-
Right after you save, the Print 80 mm receipt button opens the 80 mm size straight away
-
When you open an older document with Print document, it starts at A4; tap 80 mm in the paper-size switch at the top first
-
The preview narrows to a receipt layout; then tap Print
The text is tiny or the margins are wide
The print dialog often shrinks the page to fit A4. Use these settings; the names vary by browser and printer.
-
Printer: choose the receipt printer, not the document printer
-
Paper size: 80 mm, or 80 mm roll paper
-
Margins: none
-
Scale: actual size or default, not "fit to page"
-
Turn off headers and footers so the date and web address are not printed
Text on the right is cut off
-
Check in the printer driver that the paper width is set to 80 mm
-
58 mm printers are narrower than the system's receipt layout. The system offers A4 and 80 mm only; if you must use one, try "fit to page" in the print dialog
A long blank strip prints after the receipt
Some receipt printers feed paper for a full page length. In the printer driver, set the paper to be cut at the end of the content; the menu name differs by printer brand.
Printing from a phone doesn't work
Printing from a phone depends on whether the printer supports mobile printing. If it doesn't, open the same document on a computer connected to the printer; find documents under Transactions.
