Safe Buy is the most you can pay and still keep your shop's set profit. See it in the valuation panel when buying, or on the valuation page without buying.

Safe Buy is the highest purchase price that still leaves the profit your shop has set. It is calculated from what your shop has actually sold this model and spec for, plus market prices your staff have recorded. You'll find it in two places: the valuation panel on the buying screen, and the Valuation page, which you can use to answer a customer without buying.

On the buying screen

Once you choose a model and spec on Receive, the Valuation panel appears at the side (on a phone, at the end of the form under the summary card). It recalculates whenever you change the grade, battery, official/grey import, expected repair cost or purchase price. If your price is above Safe Buy, the offer figure turns red.

Value a device without buying it

  1. Open Valuation, then search for the model and choose the spec in Model and spec.

  2. In Condition, choose the grade, enter the battery health and set Official / grey import.

  3. If you know it needs repair, enter the Expected repair cost, then enter the Price to offer the customer.

  4. Read Safe Buy (maximum buy price) and Expected profit in the result panel.

  5. Tap Save valuation to keep the result for later, or Buy this item to open the buying screen.

Buy this item opens a fresh buying screen, so you need to choose the model and spec again.

What Safe Buy is made of

Safe Buy = Expected Sell − expected repair − selling fees − holding cost − risk reserve − minimum profit, rounded down to the nearest ฿100.

Store defaults (the owner can change them; see Set minimum profit, risk reserve and holding cost):

  • Selling fees: 0% of Expected Sell

  • Holding cost: 1.5% a month, for the number of days the device is expected to take to sell

  • Risk reserve: 3% of Expected Sell

  • Minimum profit: 10% of Expected Sell, and never less than ฿500

Tap How Safe Buy is calculated in the panel to see each line for the device you're valuing.

Frequently asked questions

Can our Safe Buy differ from another shop's?

Yes. Safe Buy uses the prices your shop actually sold at and the minimum profit and costs your shop set, so shops with different prices see different numbers.

Can I save a valuation without buying the device?

Yes. On the valuation page, tap Save valuation. The model, condition, your offer and the result are kept, and nothing is bought or paid.
