See which devices are signed in to your account and sign out any you no longer use or recognise. Changing your password signs out all other devices.
If you signed in on someone else's phone or computer, forgot to sign out of a shop computer, or see a device you don't recognise, you can sign that device out from the one you are using right now.
See your signed-in devices
Go to Security from the menu at the top right and scroll to the Signed-in devices card. Each row shows:
-
the device and browser, for example iPhone · Safari
-
the IP address it connected from
-
Last active, which can lag the real time by a few minutes
-
a This device badge on the device you are using
The list shows only devices that haven't signed out and were used recently.
Sign out a device you no longer use
Tap the circle with your initial at the top right and choose Security.
Find the device in the Signed-in devices card.
Tap Sign out on that row, or tap Sign out all other devices to sign out every device except this one.
The signed-out device sees a message that it has been signed out the next time it opens a page, and its "remember me" stops working.
If you see a device you don't recognise
-
Tap Sign out all other devices.
-
Change your password straight away on the Change password card; see Forgot your password: reset it by email.
-
Turn on 2FA if you haven't; see Turn on two-factor authentication (2FA).
-
Tell the store owner. The owner, or anyone allowed to view the audit log, can see what your account did. See Audit log: who did what, and when.
Changing your password signs out other devices
When you change your password, every other device is signed out automatically; the device you used stays signed in. If you set a new password from the forgot-password page, every device is signed out, including the one you are using.
