Troubleshooting

Can't find a model in the catalog

  1. You typed a word that is not in the model name
  2. A Thai spelling the system does not know
  3. Search by model number
  4. The model is not in the catalog yet
  5. When the model can't be found during an import

If the model search finds nothing, type fewer words, drop colours, try the English name or model number, and request the model if it's still missing.

The model search is used when you buy a device, run a valuation, record market prices and take a trade-in. It searches the shared catalog, so the shop never types model names by hand. If you see No matching models, go through the checks below. Most of them take seconds.

You typed a word that is not in the model name

The search only returns models that contain every word you type. One extra word the catalog does not have, such as a colour, the condition or "used", empties the results.

  • Type only the brand, model and storage, for example iphone 15 pro max 256

  • Leave out colour, grade and "official/import"; you fill those in on the next step

  • Storage such as 256 or 1tb never hides a model; the system uses it to pick the spec for you

  • The search starts once you have typed at least 2 characters

A Thai spelling the system does not know

The search understands the Thai spellings shops use most, such as the Thai words for iPhone, iPad, MacBook, Samsung, Pro, Max and Ultra, and counter shorthand like ip15pm, s24u and mba m2. It does not guess at typos.

  • If a Thai spelling finds nothing, type the English name instead, for example huawei

  • Part of a word is enough: galax finds Galaxy models

  • If you get too many models, add the model number or a word like pro, plus or ultra

Search by model number

The model number printed on the back of the device, on the box or in the device settings, such as A2848 or SM-S928B, matches directly. This is the quickest way to tell look-alike models apart or to find a model sold in another country.

The model is not in the catalog yet

If nothing works, the model may simply not be in the catalog yet, which is common for models that just launched.

  • Tap Request this model under the "not found" message. The request page opens with your search text already filled in

  • Add the brand, model name, model number (if you have it) and spec, then tap Send request

  • Follow the request under Request a new model, where sent requests show with the decision

Sending a request needs the Request new models permission. If you don't have it, ask the owner or your manager to send it for you.

When the model can't be found during an import

Spreadsheet imports match models a different way. Names the system cannot match on its own are listed on the review page so you can pick the model once per name. See Fix rows with import problems.

Frequently asked questions

When will a model I requested show up in the search?

Once the team has reviewed and added it, the decision shows on the model request page and the model can be found in the model search straight away. There is no fixed time.

Why does typing the colour or condition stop the model search finding anything?

The search looks for models containing every word you type, and catalog model names have no colours or conditions. Type only the brand, model and storage, then choose colour and grade on the next step.
