If a model or spec isn't found, tap Request this model or open the request page, enter the brand, model, spec and model number, then follow the result there.
- Who can do this:
- Owner, Store Admin, Manager, Cashier, Appraiser, Inventory staff (role defaults; the owner can change them)
If a model or spec isn't in the catalog, send a request for the team to add it to the shared catalog. Every shop uses the same catalog, so shops can't type model names themselves. Once the team adds it, every shop can find it straight away.
Before you send a request
Search again with fewer words, or with the model number on the box. See Find a model and spec in the catalog (Thai works). The model may already exist under a different spelling.
When the model search shows No matching models, tap Request this model, or open Request a new model.
Choose the Type and enter the Brand and Model name. Coming from the search box, the model name is already filled in.
Enter the Spec (storage / RAM / CPU), such as 256GB, or i5 16GB 512GB.
Enter the Model number from the box or the bottom of the device if there is one. It helps the team add the exact model.
Tap Send request.
Follow up
Requests you've sent are listed on the same page, with who sent them and their status:
| Status | Means |
|---|---|
| Pending review | The team hasn't reviewed it yet |
| Added | Added to the catalog; the review result shows which model to use |
| Rejected | Not added; the review result gives the reason, for example the model already exists |
Once it's added, go back to the buying screen and search for the model as usual.
While you wait
Purchases can only be recorded for models in the catalog, so while a request is pending you can't record that device yet. Don't pick a similar model or spec instead, because valuations, profit and per-model reports would be wrong.
Good to know
-
If your shop already has many requests waiting, the system asks you to wait for results before sending more.
-
Everyone in the shop sees the shop's requests, so there's no need to request the same model twice.
