Add several devices to one bill. The bill discount is an amount that the system splits across devices by price, keeping each one's true profit right.
- Who can do this:
- Owner, Store Admin, Manager, Cashier (role defaults; the owner can change them)
One bill can hold several devices, such as a phone and a tablet. They all go on a single sale document, the customer pays once and gets one receipt. The bill discount is entered as an amount, and the system splits it across the devices so true profit stays right.
On Sell item, scan or search for the first device and tap it to add it to the bill.
Scan or search for the next device. Devices already on the bill don't show up in the results again.
Check each device's Selling price. You can change them one by one.
Enter the Bill discount as an amount in baht.
Check the Totals card for the number of items, the discount and the Total, then take the money and tap Confirm sale.
How the bill discount works
-
It's an amount, not a percentage.
-
It must be less than the bill total.
-
The system splits it across the devices in proportion to their prices, so a pricier device takes more of it. Each device's revenue and true profit stay correct.
-
The receipt shows the discount on its own line.
Discounts above the cap
By default, a bill discount above 5% of the total must be recorded by someone with the Give discounts above the limit permission. Without it, the sale isn't saved and the system shows the shop's cap. See Discounts above the cap need permission.
Per-device price or bill discount
| Method | Use it when | Effect on profit |
|---|---|---|
| Change a device's selling price | You agreed a lower price for that device | All of it comes off that device's revenue |
| Bill discount | You give something off the whole bill, e.g. for buying several | Split across every device by price |
The bill discount appears in the discount column of the daily sales report. Changing a device's selling price isn't counted as a discount; it lowers the sales figure instead.
Good to know
-
Every device on the bill must be ready to sell and in the selling branch.
-
If one of them is sold elsewhere before you confirm, the system says it isn't ready to sell. Remove it and confirm again.
-
If the customer later returns one of the devices, you can take back just that one. See Take back an item and refund the customer.
