Buy several devices from one seller on one document. Inspect and check Safe Buy per device, let the system share the lot price, and pay once.
- Who can do this:
- Owner, Store Admin, Manager, Cashier, Appraiser (role defaults; the owner can change them)
A lot is several devices bought from one seller in one go. The system issues one purchase document (numbered from PUR) and one payment, but it still inspects, checks the IMEI and compares Safe Buy for each device. Every device goes into stock with its own stock code.
When to use a lot
-
One seller brings several devices at once and you will pay them once.
-
To buy a single device, use Buying a phone: the full process.
-
To bring old stock or past sales into the system from a file, use Import existing stock, not a lot. An import has no real payment at the counter; a lot is a real purchase that takes money from the shop's account and issues a purchase voucher.
Steps
Open Receive and tap Buy a lot (or open the lot purchase page directly).
On the seller step, search for or add the seller. The seller is identified once for the whole lot, under the same rules as a single purchase. Then tap Next: add devices.
Add devices: type or scan an IMEI in the top field and press Enter, or tap the scan button beside it, or tap Add device. A new device starts with the same model as the one before it.
For each device, pick the model if it isn't set, choose the grade, tap any critical check that fails, and enter that device's Purchase price.
If you agreed one price for the lot, enter the Total paid to the seller and leave empty the price of devices without their own agreed price. The system shares it out.
Tap Review. The system checks every device at once, then shows each device's price and the total.
Choose a method under Pay the customer by, then tap Confirm purchase.
After you confirm, the summary shows the document number and the stock code of every device. Tap Print purchase voucher for the seller to sign, or Buy the next lot.
Going faster
-
Keep scanning: with a barcode scanner that types the number for you, scan one device after another into the top field. Each scan adds a new row at once.
-
Duplicate: tap Duplicate this device when several devices share model, grade and price. Everything is copied except the IMEI.
-
Finished rows fold away by themselves when you add the next device. Tap a row to open it again.
-
Automatic draft: if the connection drops or you close the page, the system keeps the half-entered lot on this device for a short time (it expires within a day) and restores it when you come back. A draft never holds the seller's name, phone or ID number.
How the lot price is shared out
-
A device with a price you typed always keeps that price.
-
What is left (the lot price minus the prices you typed) is shared among the devices without a price in proportion to each one's Safe Buy. If there is no price data to value them, or you may not see valuations, it is shared equally.
-
The few satang left over from rounding go to the device with the largest share, so the prices always add up to the lot price to the satang.
-
You can change any device's price before you confirm. What is posted is what you saw at the review step.
When one device fails
-
A critical check fails (for example an account lock): the lot does not take that device. The system flags its row. Take it out of the lot and buy it on its own with Buying a phone: the full process. See Device locked to iCloud or Google: what to do.
-
The IMEI repeats inside the lot, or the device is already in your stock: the system points at the row. See Invalid IMEI or IMEI already in stock: what to do.
-
A lot is saved all or nothing. If any device can't be saved, no document, device or money movement is left behind for the others.
Above Safe Buy and the approval limit
-
A device priced above Safe Buy needs a reason and a second person to confirm, as in a single purchase. One approver can confirm every device in the lot, but the approval is recorded device by device. See Buying above Safe Buy: reason and approver.
-
The approval limit is checked against the lot total, not each device's price, because the money that leaves the drawer is the total. See Purchases above the limit need an approver.
If you recorded it wrong
You can only cancel the whole document, from its page. See Void a document: steps and reason. The system reverses the payment and the cost of every device on it. If one device has been sold or has moved on, the system names that device and does not cancel; cancel that sale first.
