Troubleshooting

Can't find an item on the sale page

Published Last updated Written and reviewed by the Resale Intelligence team

On this page
  1. The item is in another branch
  2. The item is not ready to sell
  3. The IMEI or serial is incomplete
  4. Searching by model name finds nothing
  5. The device was never received into the system

The sale page only finds items ready to sell in the selected branch. Check the branch and item status, and type the full IMEI or serial number.

Who can do this:
Owner, Store Admin, Manager, Cashier (role defaults; the owner can change them)

The Sell item page finds items through Search items to sell, and only items that are ready to sell in the selected branch. If you see No items ready to sell at this branch match your search, the device failed one of the conditions below. Nothing is lost.

The item is in another branch

The search only covers items in the branch chosen under Sell from branch. A device in another branch of the same store does not show up.

  • Check the branch. Changing it clears the items already in the bill, so add them again afterwards

  • One bill sells from one branch. To sell a device held by another branch, transfer it first; see Transfer stock between branches and receive it

  • A device in transit can be sold once the receiving branch has confirmed it arrived

The item is not ready to sell

Only items with the status Ready to sell, Listed or Reserved can be sold. Items that are Awaiting inspection, Awaiting repair, In branch transfer or Sold do not appear on the sale page.

  • Look the device up in Inventory and check its status

  • If it is still waiting for inspection or in a repair job, finish that step first

  • If it shows as sold, find the earlier bill in Transactions; someone may already have sold it

  • What each status means: What each item status means

The IMEI or serial is incomplete

IMEI and serial numbers are stored encrypted for security, so the search only matches the whole number.

  • An IMEI must be all 15 digits and valid; part of an IMEI finds nothing

  • A serial number must be typed in full

  • If you only remember part of it, search by the item code instead; codes can be typed in part

  • You can scan the IMEI barcode with the scan button next to the search box. If scanning fails, see Camera scanning doesn't work

Searching by model name finds nothing

The sale page matches the catalog model name letter by letter, and most names are in English.

  • Type a short English model name, for example s24 or 15 pro

  • If a Thai spelling finds nothing, switch to English, or search by item code or IMEI

  • Type at least 2 characters

  • Devices already in the bill are not shown again in the results

The device was never received into the system

Stock the shop had before it started using the system has to be imported or received first; see Import existing stock. The system never sells an item that is not in stock, so every device keeps a correct cost and true profit.

Frequently asked questions

Why can't I find an item by typing part of its IMEI?

IMEIs are stored encrypted, so the search only matches when you type or scan all 15 digits. If you only remember part of it, search by item code or model name instead.

Can one bill include items from two branches?

No. A bill sells from one branch only. Transfer the item to the selling branch first, or make a separate bill from the other branch.
