The bell in the top bar counts unread notifications for this store. Tap it to see what the system flagged, open the related page, or mark all as read.
The system tells you about things the store should know through the bell in the top bar of every page: aged stock, prices below cost, overdue repair jobs, incoming branch transfers, or an approval request waiting for you. This article explains how to read them, how to manage them, and why two people may see different notifications.
What the bell tells you
The red number on the bell is how many notifications you have not read in the store you are working in. It updates by itself every so often, so you don't need to reload the page. If you work for more than one store, notifications are kept per store; switch store and you see only that store's notifications.
Read and manage notifications
Tap the bell in the top bar. The Notifications page opens.
Look for unread items. They are in bold and have a coloured dot on the right.
Tap an item to go to the related page, such as the aged stock report, the cash page or the approval requests page. The item is marked as read.
Tap Mark all as read to clear the number on the bell in one go.
Tap Settings if you want to choose which topics and channels you receive.
What the colours and icons mean
-
Red: urgent, such as a negative balance, stock older than the dead-stock limit, or a price below cost.
-
Yellow: worth handling soon, such as slow sellers, overdue repair jobs, or a purchase above Safe Buy.
-
Grey: general information, such as the Daily summary or an incoming branch transfer.
Every item always has a title and details in words; the colour only helps you spot it faster.
Where notifications come from
-
The morning store check: the system checks stock, prices, repair jobs, transfers and cash, then tells you what it found. The same topic reaches you at most once a day. See Store Intelligence: what your shop should do today for details.
-
Things you hear about right away: an incoming branch transfer, someone buying above Safe Buy, an approval request waiting for you, or a decision on your own request.
-
Store account matters: plan and invoices, changes to team access, and reminders that an access review is due.
You are not notified about things you did yourself. For example, when you send a transfer, the people at the receiving branch are told, not you.
Why a colleague sees something different
Each topic goes only to people allowed to see that information. A negative balance goes to people who manage cash, and anything that reveals cost goes only to people who can see cost. An incoming transfer reaches only people who work at the receiving branch. On top of that, each person can switch off topics for themselves; see Choose the notifications you get.
