The plan and billing, security settings, pricing controls and the full store export are owner-only by default, and a store must always keep an active owner.
Some tasks affect the whole store, such as paying for the service, pricing controls or all customer data. By default only owners can do them. Store admins can't, and can't hand them to anyone else.
Owner-only tasks
| Task | Permission | More |
|---|---|---|
| Choose and pay for a plan, see invoices | Manage plan and billing | Choose the right plan for your store |
| Require 2FA store-wide, set approval thresholds and solo mode | Security settings | Solo mode: self-approval with a reason |
| Set valuation parameters, the purchase limit and the maximum discount | Pricing and limit settings | Set minimum profit, risk reserve and holding cost |
| Download the full store file, customer data included | Export all store data (including customer data) | Export all your store data |

Good to know
-
The store must keep at least one active owner. The system won't suspend or change the role of the last owner, and never suspends owners for inactivity.
-
Owners can add other owners. Stores with partners should have more than one owner.
-
Owners can grant these permissions individually, but the access review then shows a finding that someone holds owner-only permissions.
-
Owners can't delete evidence either. Financial documents and the audit log can't be edited or deleted, only voided with reversing entries.
-
Owner accounts always need 2FA, and recovery codes should be kept safe. See 2FA recovery codes and changing phones.
If no owner can sign in any more
If none of the store's owners can sign in, for example the previous owner left the business, the support team can transfer ownership after checking documents such as a company affidavit. Two team members must check it, and every owner and admin of the store is emailed. Get in touch through Contact the team with a reference code.
