This document describes how the system actually works and is being reviewed by legal counsel. The wording may change before full launch.
On this page
Every purchase needs a seller with a national ID or tax ID. Search for an existing customer or add a new one in the seller card, ticking consent before saving.
- Who can do this:
- Owner, Store Admin, Manager, Cashier, Appraiser (role defaults; the owner can change them)
Every purchase must be linked to a seller. By default the system won't record a purchase if no seller is chosen, or if the seller has no national ID or tax ID. A second-hand shop needs to know who it bought each device from. The reasons are in Why buying needs the seller's ID number.
Choose an existing seller
In 3. Seller, type a national ID, phone number or name. ID and phone numbers must match in full; names and customer codes can match in part. Tap a name to choose it. The card shows the customer code, the phone and ID partly hidden, the identity check status and any risk level.
Add a new seller
In 3. Seller, type the seller's 13-digit national ID, phone number or name.
If nobody is found, tap Add new customer. What you typed is moved into the matching field.
Enter the first name and the national ID. The last name and phone are optional.
Tell the customer the shop keeps their data to process the transaction, then tick Customer consents to the collection and use of their data for transactions (required).
If the customer agrees to a copy of their ID card being kept, also tick Consents to keeping a copy of their national ID card.
Tap Save customer. The new customer is chosen as the seller straight away.
What the system checks
-
National ID: it must be a Thai ID number with a valid check digit.
-
Consent: a new customer can't be saved without the required consent tick.
-
Blocked customers: if your shop set a customer to "do not transact", the seller card turns red and the purchase won't be recorded. See Customer risk levels and blocking.
-
Identity rules: if the rules that apply to your shop need more, such as a verified identity or an address, the system says what is missing when you tap Confirm purchase.
How seller data is kept
-
National ID and phone numbers are encrypted. Screens and the purchase voucher show them partly hidden.
-
Seeing the full number needs the View sensitive data (ID number/address) permission, and every view is logged. See Reveal a customer's full ID and contact details.
-
Devices bought from this seller are listed on the customer page, under related items. See Customers: add, find and view them.
The seller is a company or shop
The add-customer button in the seller card only creates individuals. If the seller is a legal entity, add them on Customers, choose the legal entity type, enter the Legal entity name and Tax ID, then come back and search for them in the seller card. A tax ID is accepted instead of a national ID.
