Owners can require 2FA for all, set the void and refund limits that need an approver, and allow self-approval or solo mode. Saving asks for the password again.

Who can do this:
Owner (role defaults; the owner can change them)

The shop's security settings decide who must use 2FA and which work needs a second person to approve. They're in the Security and Segregation of duties (a second approver) cards on the Store settings page, and only the owner can change them.

Who can change them

You need Security settings, an owner-only permission. Everyone else sees the values read-only, with the note Only the store owner can change this. Every change here asks you to confirm your password again. See Why you are asked for your password again.

What you can set

Field Default Effect
Require two-factor authentication (2FA) for everyone in the store Off People with sensitive permissions must use 2FA anyway; this extends it to every member. See Who must use 2FA and how long they have
Voids above this amount need an approver ฿10,000 Voiding a document above this needs an approver, and the person voiding must confirm their password
Voids of documents older than this (hours) need an approver 24 Voiding a document older than this needs an approver
Refunds above this amount need an approver ฿10,000 A refund above this needs an approver
Store owners may approve their own actions On Owners don't need a second person, but it's recorded as a self-approval
Solo mode: self-approval with a reason Off Anyone holding the approving permission may approve their own work, with a reason. See Solo mode: self-approval with a reason

Setting an amount or the hours to zero turns that check off. Voiding a document you recorded yourself still always needs an approver. See When a void or refund needs a second person.

  1. Open Store settings and scroll to the Security card.

  2. Choose whether to require 2FA for everyone.

  3. In Segregation of duties (a second approver), change the amounts and hours that need an approver, and choose the self-approval options.

  4. Tap Save settings, then confirm your password.

One-person shops

If the shop has only one active team member, solo mode is switched on automatically and the page shows This store has one team member, so solo mode is on automatically. When you add team members it switches off by itself, unless the owner has ticked it on.

Frequently asked questions

Can I stop owners from approving their own actions?

Yes. Untick the option that lets owners approve their own actions and save with your password. Owners then need another approver like everyone else.
