The card on the overview and the report show the real profit on devices sold today, this week and this month, after every cost and stock written off.

Who can do this:
Owner, Store Admin, Manager, Accountant, Auditor (role defaults; the owner can change them)

The Real profit after every cost card on the overview and the Net profit and causes of loss report say how much profit your shop really made today, this week and this month, after every cost, not just sale minus purchase.

Where the numbers come from

The system counts the devices sold in the period and takes the real revenue minus every cost in each device's ledger: the purchase price, repair, battery, parts, shipping, fees, commission and storage. It then subtracts the cost of stock written off in the same period. The numbers always match the devices' ledger.

  • Today: From midnight, in your shop's time zone

  • This week: From Monday

  • This month: From the 1st

A sale that is voided puts the device back in stock and isn't counted. Sales to a dealer (when that opens) are counted too.

Who sees what

You need View financial reports to see the report and View cost and profit to see profit and cost. People without it see sales only. Members limited to some branches see only their own branches.

Open the report

  1. Go to Reports and choose Net profit and causes of loss, or tap Reports on the card

  2. Choose the period

  3. Read the headline figures, then go through the devices sold at a loss, each with its main cause

If most devices sold don't have their costs recorded in full, the profit will look higher than it really is. See Record per-item costs: repair, battery, parts, shipping, and see each device in True profit report per unit.

Why it doesn't match the cash drawer

Profit follows the devices sold, while cash follows what was really received and paid that day. A cost paid earlier, such as buying a device last week, is counted when that device is sold.

Frequently asked questions

Why doesn't today's profit match the cash in the drawer?

Profit follows the devices sold today, less every cost of those devices, which may have been paid earlier. The drawer follows what was really received and paid that day; see the cash page.

Does stock written off count as a loss today?

Yes. The system subtracts the cost of devices written off in the period from the profit and shows it on its own line.
