Set the target price in the item's selling price card, or tap Use suggested price for the Expected Sell, then save. It becomes the default price at the till.

Who can do this:
Owner, Store Admin, Manager, Inventory staff (role defaults; the owner can change them)

The target sell price is the price the shop means to sell a device for. The system fills it in automatically when the device is added to a bill on the sale screen, and uses it for expected profit. You can set it in two places: in Target sell price when buying, or later on the item page.

Before you start

  • You need the Set list prices and list items permission. By default it is held by: Owner, Store Admin, Manager, Inventory staff.

  • The suggested price appears when your plan includes valuation, you may see valuations, and the device is still in stock.

  1. Open the item from Inventory and scroll to the Selling price card.

  2. Look at the suggested price box, which shows the expected sell price, confidence, quick-sell price and expected days to sell.

  3. Tap Use suggested price to put the suggestion into Target sell price, or type your own price.

  4. Tap Save price.

Each change is recorded in the audit log with the old and new price.

Where the suggestion comes from

The suggested price is the device's Expected Sell, based on its model and spec, grade, battery and official/grey import, compared with what your shop has actually sold for. If you can see costs, the box also shows the profit at that price. With too little data the system shows Can't suggest a price yet — there's too little price data for this model. See Why the system says there isn't enough data.

Use suggested price only fills in the field. The price doesn't change until you tap Save price.

Target price versus selling price

  • On the sale screen, the target price is the starting price for that device. Staff can change it on the bill before confirming.

  • True profit uses the price actually received after discounts, not the target price.

  • If the target price is below the total cost, the cost card shows the expected profit in red.

Ready-to-sell devices with no price

Store Intelligence flags devices that are ready to sell or listed but have no target price, because staff would have to type a price every time they sell one. Tap the card to go to the stock list, then price each device. See Store Intelligence: what your shop should do today.

Frequently asked questions

Can sales staff change the price on the bill?

Yes. The target price is only the starting price on the bill, and staff can change each device's price before confirming. True profit uses the price actually received.

Why is there no Use suggested price button?

It appears when your plan includes valuation, you may see valuations, the device is in stock and there's enough price data for that spec. Otherwise the system says so.
