If a renewal invoice is unpaid when the period ends, the store is past due but works during a grace period, then moves to the free plan with all data kept.

If the renewal invoice isn't paid when the period ends, the store becomes past due but keeps working normally during a 7-day grace period. If it is still unpaid, the store moves to the free plan. No data is lost.

What happens when

When What happens
Before the period ends The system issues a renewal invoice, due on the last day of the period, and tells the owners
Period ended, still unpaid The status becomes Past due, the overview shows a Subscription payment overdue banner and owners are notified
During the grace period Every feature of the current plan keeps working as normal
After the grace period The unpaid invoice is cancelled, the store moves to the free plan and owners are notified

Paying while past due

Pay the outstanding invoice as described in Pay for the service by bank transfer or PromptPay. Once the team has checked the payment, the status goes back to active.
