Repair jobs track devices sent for repair, whether fixed in the shop or sent to an outside repairer. Every baht recorded on a repair job becomes a cost of that device automatically, so the true profit is right when it sells. All jobs are under Repairs.
Before you start
-
You need Manage repair jobs. Recording repair costs also needs Record item expenses.
-
A device can be sent for repair while it is received, awaiting inspection, awaiting repair, ready to sell or listed.
-
A device can have only one open repair job at a time.
Open the item page and tap Send for repair.
Enter the Problem. For an outside repairer, enter its name in External repair shop, add a Repair estimate if you know it, then tap Open repair job.
On the repair job, update progress, such as In repair or Waiting for parts, with the diagnosis and the technician, then tap Save.
When you pay for repairs or parts, tap Repair/parts cost, choose the type, enter the amount and details, choose how you paid and save.
When the repair is done, tap Repair done, choose Inspection before sale or Ready to sell now, add the outcome, then tap Confirm repair complete.
During the repair
-
When the job opens, the device becomes Awaiting repair and can't be sold until the job is closed.
-
Repair job costs come in four types: repair, spare parts, battery replacement and shipping. Each one is an expense document and takes the money from the account for the method used.
-
The repair job shows the total spent on it, next to the estimate.
If you decide not to repair
Tap Cancel job and give a reason. The device goes back to the status it had before. Costs already recorded stay as costs of the device. If an expense was recorded by mistake, void that expense document. See Void a document: steps and reason.
After the repair
-
If you chose inspection, inspect the device again before selling. See Inspect with the checklist and set a grade.
-
Review the target sell price, because the total cost has gone up. See Set a selling price and use the suggested price.
